As much as I love simplicity, Rice is almost too simple with such a rich history and unique mascot. The wings of the owl takes its place on the sleeve caps, the new Rice wordmark, and updated numbers. The pants carry the logo’s wing near the leg opening, with the Gothic R on both helmets and the pants. Hockey, lacking a team, gets tapered wing stripes on the sleeves, a simple hem stripe, and an Owl head logo on the shoulders. Baseball uses the winged sleeves, with a simple stripe down the pants and a second navy jersey for home games. Basketball eliminates grey, instead placing wings on the shoulders and shorts.
