One stripe for all. A stripe that doesn't change for the color it's set against. Coupling that with a matching set of fonts and wordmarks, it's time for a new era at Northern Illinois. Northern Illinois’ football uniforms feature black helmets with the Huskie-NIU logo and silver facemasks. The jerseys incorporate stripes in varying ways, with the color disappearing on the black and red uniforms, while the white uniform features the stripes as a sleeve cap design. The number font matches the wordmark. Hockey uniforms adopt the same striping pattern on the sleeves, hem, and pants, with the Huskie-NIU logo on the chest and interlocking NIU on the pant legs. Baseball uniforms maintain consistency with the other sports, featuring striped sleeves on the white jersey and a stripe down the side of the pants. Basketball uniforms follow the same design language, with "HUSKIES" on the home and away and "NIU" on the alternate, incorporating the new striping pattern.
